The private rented sector is growing rapidly in the UK and is projected to house one in five households by 2020. However, there are concerns that the private rented sector is not suitable as a long-term housing solution; and that its growth has not contributed to increasing the supply of new housing.

Our research into the private rented sector includes a focus on the characteristics of its tenants, and the development of a financial model to support the construction of new homes for rent at scale.
