BSHF is based in the former coal-mining town of Coalville in Leicestershire, in the East Midlands Region of the United Kingdom, where it has strong historical ties. Whilst much of its work is carried out nationally or internationally, BSHF seeks to play an active and positive role in the local community and the wider East Midlands Region.
