The Department for Communities and Local Government outlined major changes to Social Housing in the UK. In January 2011, BSHF submitted a response to these proposed changes.
BSHF submitted evidence to a Consultation by the Department for Communities and Local Government in December 2010. This Consultation sought views on the implementation of the New Homes Bonus.
In December 2010, the Work and Pensions Select Committee held an inquiry into proposals to create a Universal Credit. Consultation on The Housing Benefit (Amendment) Regulations 2010
The SSAC carried out a consultation on the likely impact of the proposed Housing Benefit (Amendment) Regulations 2010. This is BSHF's submission to the SSAC.
The DWP published a consultation paper (Cm 7913), 21st Century Welfare, in July 2010. The consultation closed on 1 October 2010. This submission is BSHF's evidence to the consultation.
In September 2010, BSHF submitted evidence to the Communities and Local Government Select Committe regarding the impact of the abolition of Regional Spatial Strategies, regional housebuilding targets, which are to be abolished under the Localism Bill.
This is a response to the Government's consultation on the allocation mechanism for its proposed Housing and Planning Delivery Grant. It makes the point that Gypsy and Traveller accommodation should be addressed by the grant allocation mechanism and responds to questions on empty homes and design quality.
