UK Housing Policy and Practice

The BSHF UK Housing Policy and Practice team works to highlight innovation and encourage good housing practice in the UK. Its activities are designed to influence both policymakers and practitioners and bring about positive change in UK housing conditions and provision.

World Habitat Awards

The World Habitat Awards are given each year to projects from the global South as well as the North that provide practical and innovative solutions to current housing needs. An award of £10,000 is presented to the winning projects at the annual UN global celebration of World Habitat Day.

World Habitat Awards 2013 finalists announced

The ten finalists for the 2013 World Habitat Awards have been chosen from a list of over 200 projects from across the globe.

PCMB project and study visit report published

A report presenting the outcomes of the study visit to 2011 World Habitat Award winners PCMB, Mexico has been published.

Peer exchange to World Habitat Award winners

Applications are now closed for this international peer exchange activities to the FUCVAM South-South Cooperation project (Uruguay), winner of the 2012 World Habitat Award.
